Sympatex Technologies has created tha new position of ”chief sustainable community manager and head of storytelling,” and recruited Kim Scholze, former outdoor community manager and developer of ISPO Munich’s sustainability strategy, to fill the role. Scholze brings more than 20 years of industry experience in strategy, marketing, development and sales to her new job. She most recently spent five years strategically developing the outdoor segment for Messe München. At the past inaugural OutDoor by ISPO event, she provided key focus in terms of sustainability initiatives. At ISPO Munich Online 2021, she developed and co-hosted the congress’ program. Before joining Messe München, she was responsible for product development, marketing and sales for Bench’s sports collection. During that time, she also co-founded the sustainable development agency Brands for Good. Before that, she worked as a journalist and with several sports brands, including Salomon and Nitro Snowboards. Sympatex has been emphasizing the sustainability of its waterproof/breathable technology as a point of difference with Gore-Tex. We would not be surprised if the latter will soon come out with a similar offer.
