Design & Development Textile Consult, the organizer of Performance Days in Munich, and its U.S. counterpart since 2018, Reed Exhibitions’ Functional Fabric Fair powered by Performance Days, have announced the launch of the Performance Days Loop. The new digital platform provides access to a comprehensive, 365-day marketplace for functional fabric manufacturers that currently includes more than 8,000 products from nearly 200 suppliers. The collaboration is expected to result in an expanded range of exhibitors, an enhanced reach for sourcing professionals and higher participation in face-to-face and online events. The organizers expect the online marketplace to grow to more than 12,000 products by more than 250 international suppliers in its first full season. The Performance Days Loop features a matchmaking tool that helps procurement professionals access a global pool of suppliers and products based on their needs and capabilities. It uses 3D visual technology to simulate the design, look and feel of the fabrics. The platform will also host digital trade events that coincide with face-to-face events and offer an online version of the usual program of talks, panel discussions and workshops. The Performance Forum, where curated trends and innovations can be discovered, will also be part of the new platform to showcase innovations from Performance Days and the Functional Fabrics Fair. A well-known German activewear designer, Nora Kühner will present her color chart.
