After the tragic plane accident in 2012,in which Klaus Lenhart lost his life, the German family-owned pole specialist Leki has now been hit by another tragedy. After a short and serious illness, Waltraud Lenhart, managing partner of Leki, has died unexpectedly at the age of 64. She had taken over responsibility for her late husband’s life’s work after the accident, developing the brand internationally with the cooperation of the company’s staff, which currently counts 350 employees worldwide. With Friederike and Markus Lenhart, the company is now being passed on to the third generation of the family. In the future, the company will be run by the two managing directors, Martin Rominger and Matthias Hatt.
