Pomoca, a specialist in ski mountaineering skins that has been part of the Oberalp Group since 2011, is building a new factory and a new head office in Chavornay, about 25 km north of its current production and administration site in Denges, near Lausanne, Switzerland. According to a company statement, the production at the current site has reached its limits, despite a doubling in its capacity, because of significant growth of the ski touring market in recent seasons. Once the new factory is completed, Pomoca will move to Chavornay with about 60 employees. Pomoca was founded in 1933 in Les Avants above Montreux. It operated out of Aubonne from 1960 to 2011 before moving its production to Denges.
