HeiQ and The Lycra Company have entered into a broad-based collaboration across multiple technology and brand platforms to bring more of their textile technologies to consumers. Building on exploratory discussions that started in early 2019, HeiQ and Lycra have elected to leverage their shared philosophies and strengths in textile science, commercial networks and global marketing to drive innovation platforms into broad textile markets, promoting their consumer-branded products.
While The Lycra Company is a recognized brand for branded fibers and fabrics in stretch, warmth and cooling, HeiQ is known as a provider of finished-based treatments addressing freshness, sustainability, temperature management, antiviral properties, dryness, etc.
The initial innovation platform will roll out through the summer, introducing HeiQ anti-odor and antiviral benefits as well as those of stretch fabrics with a new Lycra freshFX technology brand. Focusing initially on the Chinese market, its introduction is earmarked for the Intertextile show in Shanghai at the end of August.
