To secure the supply of high-quality respiratory protection products, the Uvex Safety Group is investing in an in-house production facility for FFP2 respiratory protection masks in cooperation with a manufacturer of household products, Fackelmann. With production in France, the German company is also making itself less dependent on global supply chains. The first model to be manufactured in-house by Uvex is the FFP2 folding mask “uvex silv-Air lite.” According to the company, the optimized, two-part horizontally folded shape of the mask is designed to provide greater stability, and the enlarged filter surface and large mask interior noticeably reduce breathing resistance. Weighing only seven grams, the mask offers reliable protection and high wearing comfort even during longer assignments, Uvex said.
