Sports fashion is diverse, colorful, innovative, and inclusive. The Sportsfashion Hall B1 at ISPO Munich proudly displays this. Read our exclusive preview.
“For me, our Sportsfashion Hall B1 is so exciting because it shows the extraordinary diversity on offer in this area. The brands set very different focuses. The exhibitors focus on innovation, tradition or, of course, certain aspects from the field of sustainability,” says ISPO Munich Director Lena Haushofer.
UYN, for example, is coming to ISPO Munich 2022 almost directly from Milan Fashion Week. Among other things, the Italians will present the UYN Urban Shoes by Patricia Urquiola. These shoes are made from recycled materials and merino wool.
Merino as a long-time trend
Merino is, of course, an evergreen for brands and is consistently at the center of product lines. Merino mix specialist Super.natural will be showing their functional second layer jackets. For its winter collection, the company is utilizing PrimaLoft® Bio™ — a synthetic fiber, which meets Super.natural’s high technical standards and is made from 100% recycled material.
Namuk also incorporates lots of merino. The brand was founded in 2016 and is Switzerland’s first children’s outdoor brand. Its products are available in German-speaking Europe and in the USA. Namuk’s goal is to combine durability, design, and innovation. At ISPO Munich, a monochrome capsule collection will be presented, which aims to bridge the gap between high performance and top design.
WeNorwegians, also a merino specialist, has this year organized a collab booth in the ISPO Munich Sportsfashion hall. Their booth will feature representatives of the Swiss brand Inuikii, whose boots and brand align with the style and ethos of WeNorwegians. The founders actually met a few years ago at ISPO Munich. Varsity Headwear will present their premium wool caps and some unusual decoration, joining the stand with a Piaggio Mobile. This special “exhibition village” will be completed by Stereo Skis.
A birthday at ISPO Munich 2022
Visitors can congratulate Buff on its 30th anniversary. The Spaniards first gave the tube scarf its name and will surely have come up with something special for Buff’s birthday at ISPO Munich. Exhibitor Descente can look back on a much longer company history. The Japanese brand has been around since 1935, and joins other brands with a long history exhibiting in the Sportsfashion Hall including Steffner, Löffler, Think Pink, and Sportalm.

For Haushofer, the ISPO Munich Sportsfashion exhibition space will be considered a success if, “retailers in particular can gather inspiration here.” And this inspiration can of course come from some of the innovative ways of presenting on display in the hall this year. For example, Supernatural will offer not only personal contact at its stand but also the opportunity to view the new collections in a digital showroom. With this technology, all assortments can be visualized, packages can be predefined, and pre- and post-orders placed.
